Hello Pennsylvania TSA Members, Are you looking for some good PR for your school and TSA chapter? Looking for an EASY activity to enforce teamwork within your chapter? Well, keep reading! Did you know that the average round-trip student commute to school releases between 20 to 100 pounds of poisonous carbon emissions? The PA-TSA Green Initiative has introduced an EASY project to help your school reduce emissions, spread awareness of this environmental issue, and reach out to your community through an insightful venture. On Tuesday, March 16th, ask students at your school to RIDE THE BUS. When students ride the bus to school instead of commuting by personal vehicle, they reduce their carbon footprint by keeping less vehicles on the road. We have posted flyers, door hangers, a promotional video, and a press release that you can use to promote your event. Please go to www.patsa.org/green to find out more about this project. Although this event comes on short notice, I would like to emphasize that it requires very little effort to implement. A simple announcement asking students at your school to ride the bus next Tuesday will make a difference.
